“Colin Frizzell provided an inspired and interesting reading with a great deal of interactivity — the audience was engaged at all times and were encouraged to ask questions and participate. We were happy to have him and would recommend his talk to anyone interested in hearing from a remarkable author of young adult books.” — Liz Zylstra, Teen Services Co-ordinator at the County of Prince Edward Public Library.
Colin worked as a writer-in-residence at Pinecrest Memorial Elementary School, and at Father John Redmond and James Cardinal McGuigan through NOW HEAR THIS!’s (the literacy outreach arm of the Descant Arts & Letters Foundation) Students, Writers and Teachers (S.W.A.T.) program. He was a S.W.A.T. writer for six semesters, and worked with students in a variety of workshops to develop creativity, confidence, critical thinking, writers’ craft and editing.
